The pickling process consists in the projection of abrasive material in order to remove oxides.
In our pickling process we use steel grit which is projected by air at a constant pressure causing roughness on the surface.
The piece we want to pickl enters the pickling booth and the operator using a pistol, removes oxides (rust, calamine, black oxide), paints and lacquer. For the removal of paints and lacquer the process is quite time consuming.
After pickling, the piece needs to be treated quickly because it will oxidize without any protection.
